Japan

I love visiting Japan. Here's a collection of some of my favorite photos taken on a trip with my Sony A7RII. We visited Tokyo, Kawasaki, Asakusa, Odaiba, Akihabara, Shibuya, Ginza, Hakone, Lake Ashi, Kyoto, and Osaka.

Tokyo Tower and Harajuku

On our first day, we visited Tokyo Tower and took a train to Harajuku.

Kawasaki

One night, we visited Anata No Warehouse, which is a video arcade dressed up to look like the seedy back alley of Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City.

Asakusa

One afternoon we visited Sensō-ji, the oldest temple in Japan. The weather was perfect, the food was amazing, and the locals were very friendly.

Odaiba

One day we visited Odaiba, an artificial island in Tokyo Bay, to see the Rainbow Bridge, Gundam Statue, and teamLab exhibit. The photo below is a long exposure taken from a train while crossing the Rainbow Bridge.

Akihabara, Shibuya, and Ginza

We visited Akihabara, the electric town, to explore its many cafes and shops. A few train stops later we walked across Shibuya crossing, the world's busiest crosswalk. Of course we also had to visit the intersection from Tokyo Drift in Ginza.

Hakone and Lake Ashi

Escaping the city, we visited Hakone, which is a resort town known for Lake Ashi with its view of Mt. Fuji. It was gloomy and raining most of the day, but we made the best of it.

Kyoto and Osaka

We explored the traditional side of Japan through Kyoto and then visited Japan's second largest city, Osaka.
